Regarding the establishment of the National Steering Committee for the Construction of the National History Museum

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to Decision No. 281/2006/QĐ-TTg dated December 19, 2006 of the Prime Minister approving the Project for the Construction of the National History Museum;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Minister of Construction.
DECISION:
Article 1. The National Steering Committee for the Construction of the National History Museum (hereinafter referred to as the Steering Committee) shall be established, consisting of the following members:
Chairman: Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung.
Vice-Chairman in charge: Mr. Le Doan Hop, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Vice-Chairman: Mr. Nguyen Hong Quan, Minister of Construction.
Members:
1. Mr. Tran Quoc Toan, Deputy Director of the Government Office.
2. Mr. Nguyen Bich Dat, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.
3. Mr. Nguyen Cong Nghiep, Deputy Minister of Finance.
4. Mr. Tran Chien Thang, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
5. Mr. Cao Lai Quang, Deputy Minister of Construction.
6. Mr. Tran Duc Cuong, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.
7. Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, Deputy Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Hanoi City.
8. Mr. Luu Tran Tieu, Chairman of the National Heritage Council.
9. Director of the Project Management Board.
Article 2. The functions and responsibilities of the Steering Committee are as follows:
1. Directing the implementation of the Investment Project for the Construction of the National History Museum approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 281/2006/QĐ-TTg dated December 19, 2006.
2. Directing the proposal of special mechanisms and solutions during the preparation and implementation of the Project, to be submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval.
3. Inspecting and urging relevant ministries, agencies, and the People's Committee of Hanoi City to implement the Project; deciding on measures to resolve issues arising during the preparation and implementation of the Project.
4. Directing cooperation with domestic and foreign organizations and experts for the preparation and implementation of the Project.
Article 3. During its operation, documents signed by the Chairman of the Steering Committee shall bear the seal of the Government; documents signed by the Vice-Chairmen shall bear the seals of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Construction; documents signed by members of the Steering Committee within their assigned authority and responsibility shall bear the seals of their respective agencies.
Article 4. The Chairman of the Steering Committee is tasked with promulgating the Operational Regulations of the Steering Committee.
Article 5. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature.
The Chairman of the Steering Committee, Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Hanoi City, and members of the Steering Committee are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
