Regarding the transfer of functions to coordinate Internet activities in Vietnam

PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
In order to gradually improve efficiency and perfect state management over Internet activities in Vietnam;
At the proposal of the Minister and Head of the Government Office,
DECISION:
Article 1. Transfer the function of coordinating Internet activities in Vietnam from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment to the General Post Office Corporation.
Article 2. In addition to the functions and tasks prescribed in Decree No. 12/CP dated March 11, 1996 of the Government, the General Post Office Corporation shall also have the function of harmonizing and coordinating among ministries, sectors, and localities in managing and developing Internet networks and services in Vietnam.
This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature.
Article 4. The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision.
