ORDINANCE

REGULATIONS ON THE AUTHORITY RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING FIRE PREVENTION AND FIGHTING WORK AND RANK SYSTEM OF FIRE PREVENTION AND FIGHTING OFFICERS AND NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS

CONSIDERING fire prevention and fighting work being closely related to the maintenance of public order and security, which is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Security;

AT THE PROPOSAL OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS;

The Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam hereby regulates the authority responsible for managing fire prevention and fighting work and the rank system of fire prevention and fighting officers and non-commissioned officers as follows:

Article 1.

- Transfer management of fire prevention and fighting work from the Ministry of Interior to the Ministry of Public Security.Establish a Fire Prevention and Fighting Bureau under the Ministry of Public Security.

Set up professional fire prevention and fighting teams for cities, provinces, and equivalent administrative units under the public security organs of those cities, provinces, and equivalent administrative units.

Article 2.

- The professional fire prevention and fighting force consists of officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers.The rank system for fire prevention and fighting officers and non-commissioned officers shall be in accordance with the rank system for police officers and non-commissioned officers as stipulated in the Ordinance dated July 16, 1962.

Article 3.

- Previous regulations concerning management of fire prevention and fighting work that conflict with this Ordinance are hereby abolished.This Ordinance was adopted by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on March 23, 1963.
