Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and wards to establish a commune under Muong Nhe district and the city of Dien Bien Phu, Dien Bien province

THE GOVERNMENT 
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Upon consideration of the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province, 
DECREE:
Article 1. The adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and wards to establish a commune under Muong Nhe district and the city of Dien Bien Phu, Dien Bien province shall be as follows:
1. Establishing Nam Vi commune under Muong Nhe district based on the adjustment of 6,237.19 hectares of natural area and 1,951 population from Muong Nhe commune.
Nam Vi commune has 6,237.19 hectares of natural area and 1,951 population.
Administrative boundary of Nam Vi commune: East borders Muong Toong commune, Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province and Ta Tong commune, Muong Te district, Lai Chau province; West borders Muong Nhe commune, Muong Nhe district; South borders Muong Nhe and Muong Toong communes, Muong Nhe district; North borders Chung Chai commune, Muong Nhe district.2. - Noong Bua ward retains 324.36 hectares of natural area and 4,565 population..
Dien Bien Phu city has 6,427.01 hectares of natural area and 70,000 population; it includes 09 wards directly under its jurisdiction, namely: Thanh Binh, Muong Than, Tan Thanh, Him Lam, Noong Bua, Nam Thanh, Thanh Truong and two communes: Thanh Minh, Ta Leng.
