Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to the Education Law dated June 14, 2005;
Pursuant to Decision No. 47/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 of the Prime Minister approving the planning of the university network for the period 2001-2010.
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training at the report No. 6044/TCCB dated July 18, 2005 on the renaming of the University of Fisheries to the University of Nha Trang,

Article 1. The University of Fisheries is renamed to the University of Nha Trang.
Article 2. The University of Nha Trang is a higher education institution under the Ministry of Education and Training; it has legal personality, its own seal, and separate accounts.
Article 3. The University of Nha Trang operates according to the Charter of Universities issued together with Decision No. 153/2003/QĐ-TTg dated July 30, 2003 of the Prime Minister.
Article 4. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. Any conflicting previous documents are hereby abolished.
Article 5. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of central government agencies, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
