Decree
Of the President of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam No. 172 September 3, 1946
The President of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam
Pursuant to the Proclamation dated August 28, 1945 on the establishment of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam;
Pursuant to Decree No. 119 dated July 9, 1946 organizing the Ministry of National Education;
Pursuant to Decree No. 20 dated September 8, 1945 on compulsory learning of Vietnamese script for all Vietnamese people;
At the proposal of the Minister of National Education;
After deliberation by the Council of Ministers,
Enacts as follows:
Article 1
The period of one year provided in Decree No. 20 dated September 8, 1945 for all Vietnamese people to learn the national script is hereby extended by an additional year from September 8, 1946.
Article 2
The Minister of National Education shall implement this Decree.
