DECREE
AMENDING Article 5 of Decree No. 30/CP dated May 9, 1996
of the Government promulgating the Rules on Issuance and Use of Cheques

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
ON THE BASIS OF THE LAW ON ENACTING LEGAL REGULATIONS dated November 23, 1996;
AT THE PROPOSAL OF THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM.
DECREE:
Article 1. NOW AMENDS Article 5 of the Rules on Issuance and Use of Cheques issued together with Decree No. 30/CP dated May 9, 1996 of the Government as follows:
The time limits specified in these Rules include weekends and public holidays. If the last day of a time limit falls on a weekend or public holiday, the time limit shall be extended to the next working day immediately following that weekend or public holiday.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect fifteen days from the date of signature.
Article 3. The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam is responsible for guiding and organizing the implementation of this Decree.
THE MINISTERS, HEADS OF GOVERNMENT AFFILIATED AGENCIES, AND CHAIRMEN OF THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEES OF PROVINCES AND MUNICIPALITIES DIRECTLY UNDER THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS DECREE./.
