Regarding the organization of the Swedish Literature Week in Vietnam within the framework of the Cultural Project funded by SIDA

 At the proposal of the Director of the Cinema Department.

Pursuant to Decree No. 185/2007/ND-CP dated December 25, 2007, of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism;

Pursuant to Decree No. 21/2001/ND-CP dated May 28, 2001, of the Government on Entry and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam;

Pursuant to the specific agreement between the Government of Vietnam and Sweden on Cultural Support for Vietnam's Sustainable Development - Phase 2005-2009 and the action plan for 2008 and 2009 of the project;

Pursuant to the Regulation on External Activities of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism promulgated together with Decision No. 83/2008/QD-BVHTTDL dated October 27, 2008, of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism;

"c) The head of the unit is a civil servant or employee working at enterprises under the direct management of the Ministry of Education and Training, which are wholly owned by the State."

Article 1. The International Cooperation Department shall coordinate with the Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam, the Writers' Association of Hanoi, and the East-West Language and Culture Center to welcome a delegation of seven Swedish writers, poets, translators, and publishers to organize the Swedish Literature Week in Vietnam within the framework of the cultural project funded by Sida to commemorate 40 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Sweden;

- Time period: from May 17 to May 31, 2009

- Local activities: Hanoi and Nghe An.

Article 2. Regarding funding: The project "Cultural Support for Vietnam's Sustainable Development Phase 2005-2009" will cover all costs related to organizing the Swedish Literature Week in Vietnam.

Article 3. The Director of the Office, the Heads of the Planning and Finance Department, the International Cooperation Department, and relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
