DECREE
REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CON CO ISLAND DISTRICT UNDER QUANG TRI PROVINCE
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
CONSIDERING THE PROPOSAL OF THE MINISTER OF INTERIOR AND THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF QUANG TRI PROVINCE,
DECREE:
Article 1. NOW, THE CON CO ISLAND DISTRICT UNDER QUANG TRI PROVINCE IS ESTABLISHED AS FOLLOWS:
THE CON CO ISLAND DISTRICT IS ESTABLISHED ON THE BASIS OF THE ENTIRE NATURAL AREA AND POPULATION OF CON CO ISLAND BELONGING TO VINH QUANG COMMUNE, VINH LINH DISTRICT.
THE CON CO ISLAND DISTRICT HAS A NATURAL AREA OF 220 HA AND A POPULATION OF 400.
THE ADMINISTRATIVE BOUNDARIES OF THE CON CO ISLAND DISTRICT ARE AS FOLLOWS: EAST; WEST; SOUTH; NORTH ADJACENT TO THE EAST SEA.
AFTER THE ADJUSTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE BOUNDARIES TO ESTABLISH THE CON CO ISLAND DISTRICT:
VINH QUANG COMMUNE IN VINH LINH DISTRICT REMAINS WITH A NATURAL AREA OF 223.36 HA AND A POPULATION OF 5,220.
VINH LINH DISTRICT IN QUANG TRI PROVINCE REMAINS WITH A NATURAL AREA OF 62,634.61 HA AND A POPULATION OF 88,393, INCLUDING 22 SUBORDINATE ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS.
QUANG TRI PROVINCE HAS 10 SUBORDINATE ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS, INCLUDING DONG HA CITY, QUANG TRI CITY, AND THE COUNTIES OF VINH LINH, GIO LINH, CAM LO, TRIEU PHONG, HAI LANG, HOANG HOA, DAK RONG, AND CON CO.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF QUANG TRI PROVINCE, THE MINISTER OF INTERIOR, AND THE HEADS OF RELATED AUTHORITIES SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS DECREE./.
