THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the National Assembly; of the People's Committee of Phu Yen province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and wards; establishment of wards and towns under Phu Hoa district, Tuy Hoa city.
1. Establishing the town of Phu Hoa under Phu Hoa district based on the adjustment of 1,779.26 hectares of natural area and 8,924 population from Hoa Dinh Dong commune.
The town of Phu Hoa has 1,779.26 hectares of natural area and 8,924 population.
Administrative boundary of the town of Phu Hoa: East borders Hoa Dinh Dong commune and Hoa Thang commune, Phu Hoa district; West borders Hoa Dinh Tay commune, Phu Hoa district; South borders Hoa Phong commune and Hoa Binh 2 commune, Tay Hoa district; North borders Hoa Dinh Dong commune, Phu Hoa district.
2. Establishing the ward of Phu Thanh under Tuy Hoa city based on the adjustment of 949.29 hectares of natural area and 9,858 population from Phu Lam ward.

3. Establishing the ward of Phu Dong based on the adjustment of 616.85 hectares of natural area and 10,541 population from Phu Lam ward.

Phu Hoa district has 26,324 hectares of natural area and 102,750 population, including 9 administrative units, namely communes: Hoa An, Hoa Thang, Hoa Tri, Hoa Hoi, Hoa Quang Nam, Hoa Quang Bac, Hoa Dinh Tay, Hoa Dinh Dong and the town of Phu Hoa.
Phu Lam ward remains with 492.86 hectares of natural area and 10,632 population.
Tuy Hoa city has 10,682 hectares of natural area and 142,673 population, including 16 administrative units, namely wards: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Phu Lam, Phu Thanh, Phu Dong and communes: Binh Ngoc, Binh Kien, Hoa Kien, An Phu.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations that conflict with this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Yen province, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
