The President of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam
Considering the need for currency;
In response to a proposal by the Minister of Finance,
Decrees:
Article 1- To permit the issuance of one-dong aluminum coins weighing 4 grams and 70 milligrams, with a diameter of 32 millimeters and a thickness of 2 millimeters. The front side features a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh in profile, surrounded by the words "Democratic Republic of Vietnam," below which is the name of sculptor Hoàng Nhu Ngọc abbreviated as H. Ngọc in very small letters; the back side has an engraving of rice stalks on one side and the characters "1 đồng" on the other side; the coin's circumference features serrations.
Article 2- The Minister of Finance is authorized to implement this Decree.
