DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF LABOR, INVALIDS AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS
Regarding the printing, issuance, and management of work permits granted to foreigners
THE MINISTER OF LABOR, WAR INVALIDS AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS
Pursuant to Decree No. 15/CP dated March 2, 1993 of the Government on the tasks, powers, and responsibilities for state management of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Pursuant to Decree No. 96/CP dated December 7, 1993 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs;
Pursuant to Decree No. 58/CP dated October 3, 1996 of the Government on issuing work permits for foreigners working at enterprises and organizations in Vietnam;
Considering the proposal of the Director of the General Department of Consolidation and Legal Affairs,
Article 1. Now hereby promulgating with this Decision the model of work permit to be issued to foreigners working in Vietnam.
Article 2. The work permit has dimensions of 11x15 cm and consists of four pages; pages 1 and 4 are blue peace color, laminated. The content of page 1 from top to bottom is as follows: at the top is the national emblem; below is the national seal; followed by the text "Work Permit" in Vietnamese (above) and English (below); at the bottom is the text "Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs" in Vietnamese (above) and English (below). Pages 2 and 3 have a white background with light blue patterns, with a star in the center. The decoration and specific content of the work permit follow the model attached to this Decision.
Article 3. Entrusting the General Department of Consolidation and Legal Affairs to print work permits according to the model promulgated with this Decision, the application form for work permits, and to uniformly manage and distribute work permits to provincial Departments of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs. The distribution of work permit models and application forms will be charged, including the cost of printing the work permit and transportation.
Article 4. This Decision takes effect from April 2, 1997.
Abolishing the employee cards and work cards issued by the People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities or by provincial Departments of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs before the effectiveness of this Circular./.
