DECREE
Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries and the establishment of communes and wards under the districts of Dai Tu, Pho Yen, and the city of Song Cong, Thai Nguyen province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province and the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Department of the Government,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted and communes and wards under the districts of Dai Tu, Pho Yen, and the city of Song Cong are established as follows:
1. Establishing Tan Linh commune under Dai Tu district based on 2,344 hectares of natural area and 4,876 population from Phuc Linh commune.
Administrative boundary of Tan Linh commune: East borders Phuc Linh commune; West borders Hung Son, Tien Hoi, Ban Ngoai, and Phu Lac communes; South borders Ha Thuong commune; North borders Dong Dat commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundary, Phuc Linh commune has 1,416 hectares of natural area and 5,781 population.
2. Establishing Pho Co ward under Song Cong city based on 465 hectares of natural area and 4,898 population from Cai Dan commune.
Administrative boundary of Pho Co ward: East borders Cai Dan ward; West and South border Pho Yen district; North borders Thang Loi ward.
3. Establishing Vinh Son commune under Song Cong city based on 410 hectares of natural area and 904 population from Ba Xuyen commune; and 382 hectares of natural area and 1,119 population from Cai Dan commune.
Vinh Son commune has 792 hectares of natural area and 2,023 population.
Administrative boundary of Vinh Son commune: East borders Lang Chau, Mo Che wards and Thang Loi ward; West and South border Pho Yen district; North border Binh Son commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundary, Ba Xuyen commune has 990 hectares of natural area and 3,596 population.
4. Establishing Cai Dan ward under Song Cong city based on 533 hectares of natural area and 4,336 population (the remaining part) from Cai Dan commune.
Administrative boundary of Cai Dan ward: East borders Pho Yen district; West borders Thang Loi and Pho Co wards; South borders Pho Co and Pho Yen wards; North borders Tan Quang commune.
5. Transferring Binh Son commune under Pho Yen district to be managed by Song Cong city.
After adjusting the administrative boundary: Song Cong city has 9 subordinate administrative units, including 5 wards and 4 communes with 8,024 hectares of natural area and 42,485 population.
Pho Yen district has 18 subordinate administrative units, including 15 communes and 3 towns with 25,850 hectares of natural area and 128,449 population.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its issuance. All previous regulations that conflict with this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Department of the Government, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
