Regarding the establishment of wards under Le Chan district; communes under Thuy Nguyen, Kien Thuy districts, and Haiphong city

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Haiphong city,
DECREE
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish wards under Le Chan district; communes under Thuy Nguyen, Kien Thuy districts, and Haiphong city as follows:
1. Establishing Nghia Xa ward under Le Chan district based on 64 hectares of natural area and 13,779 population from Niem Nghia ward.
Nghia Xa ward has 64 hectares of natural area and 13,779 population.
Administrative boundary of Nghia Xa ward: East borders Dư Hàng Kênh ward; West borders Niem Nghia ward; South borders Vinh Nghiem ward and Kien An district; North borders Tran Nguyen Han ward.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Nghia Xa ward, Niem Nghia ward retains 45.91 hectares of natural area and 11,913 population.
2. Merging Me Linh ward into An Bien ward under Le Chan district.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to merge Me Linh ward, An Bien ward has 29 hectares of natural area and 12,361 population.
Administrative boundary of An Bien ward: East borders Ngo Quyen district; West borders Cat Dai ward; South borders Ho Nam and Trai Cau wards; North borders Hong Bang district.
3. Establishing Luu Ky commune under Thuy Nguyen district based on 417.03 hectares of natural area and 2,528 population from Luu Kiem commune.
Luu Ky commune has 417.03 hectares of natural area and 2,528 population.
Administrative boundary of Luu Ky commune: East borders Gia Minh commune; West borders Lien Khe commune; South borders Luu Kiem commune; North borders Quang Ninh province.

4. Establishing Du Le commune under Kien Thuy district based on 301.61 hectares of natural area and 4,649 population from Kien Quoc commune.
Du Le commune has 301.61 hectares of natural area and 4,649 population. Administrative boundary of Du Le commune: East borders Thuy Huong commune; West borders Ngũ Phuc commune; South borders Kien Quoc commune; North borders An Lao district.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Du Le commune, Kien Quoc commune retains 825.98 hectares of natural area and 8,559 population.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Haiphong city, the Minister of Interior Affairs, and heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
