of fish sauce bearing the geographical indication name "Phu Quoc"
MINISTER OF AQUATIC RESOURCES
Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 2, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Fisheries;
Pursuant to Decree No. 63/CP dated October 24, 1996 of the Government detailing regulations on industrial property;
Pursuant to Decree No. 06/2001/NĐ-CP dated February 1, 2001 of the Government amending and supplementing certain articles of Decree No. 63/CP dated October 24, 1996 of the Government detailing regulations on industrial property;
Pursuant to Circular No. 5651/VPCP-KG dated November 17, 2003 of the Office of the Government regarding certification of products meeting quality standards to bear the geographical indication name of goods, geographical indication of goods;
At the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department;
DECISION:
Article 1. The Interim Regulations on fish sauce bearing the geographical indication name "Phu Quoc" are hereby promulgated together with this Decision.
Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. Fish sauce produced in Phu Quoc packaged in Ho Chi Minh City may bear the geographical indication name "Phu Quoc" for a period of three years from the date this Decision takes effect. The packaging of fish sauce bearing the geographical indication name "Phu Quoc" (issued pursuant to Decision No. 19/QĐ-BTS dated May 16, 2005 of the Minister of Fisheries) and other relevant legal provisions shall be observed.
Article 3. The Head of the Ministry's Office, Directors of the Departments of Science and Technology, Planning and Finance, Legal Affairs, the Inspector General of the Ministry, the Heads of the Quality Management, Safety and Aquatic Resource Protection Bureau, the Director of the Fisheries Service of Kien Giang Province, the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City, and the heads of related units are responsible for implementing this Decision.
