DECISION
Permitting the establishment of the Vietnam Scholarship Fund

PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to Decision No. 122/TTg dated February 29, 1996 of the Prime Minister on the establishment of the Vietnam Association for Encouraging and Supporting Educational Development (referred to as the Vietnam Scholarship Association);
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Finance in the report No. 3617 TC/CSTC dated July 26, 1999.
DECISION:
Article 1. Permitting the establishment of the Vietnam Scholarship Fund under the Vietnam Scholarship Association.
Article 2. The Vietnam Scholarship Fund operates based on the voluntary contributions from organizations and individuals both within and outside the country without profit-making purposes, aimed at sponsoring educational and training activities, encouraging good learning and teaching, and adhering to the Charter of the Vietnam Scholarship Fund.
Article 3. Entrusting the Ministry of Finance to approve the Charter of the Vietnam Scholarship Fund and supervise its activities.
Article 4. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature.
The Minister of Finance, the Minister of Education and Training, the Ministers, the Director of the Government Organization and Cadres Affairs Board, the Chairman of the Vietnam Scholarship Association, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
