DECREE

Number 186 dated 24 September 1946

PRESIDENT OF THE VIETNAM DEMOCRATIC REPUBLICIC GOVERNMENT

In accordance with the Decree of November 29, 1943, establishing a rice price subsidy for officials on temporary duty in several central provinces;

In accordance with the Decree of July 24, 1945, establishing a special allowance due to high living costs in the northern region;

Considering the current cost of living in the central region;

At the proposal of the Minister of Finance;

After the Council of Ministers had agreed;

ISSUES THE DECREE:

Article I- The Decree of November 29, 1943, establishing a rice price subsidy for regular officials on temporary duty in several central provinces, is hereby abolished.

Article II- Simultaneously, the Decree of July 24, 1945, which established a special allowance due to high living costs for officials in the northern region, shall be applied to regular officials on temporary duty throughout the central region.

Spouse... $20.00 ---

Each child receiving family allowance

according to the current regulations... $10.00 ---

Article III- This Edict shall take effect from August 1, 1946.

Article IV- The Ministers of Interior and Finance shall implement this Edict.
