Decree No. 189/2004/NĐ-CP On the establishment of communes under Lac Duong, Lam Ha districts and the establishment of Dam Rong district, Lam Dong province

DECREE

Regarding the establishment of communes under Lac Duong, Lam Ha districts and the establishment of Dam Rong district, Lam Dong province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province.

DECREE:

Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish communes under Lac Duong, Lam Ha districts and to establish Dam Rong district, Lam Dong province as follows:

1. Establishing commune Da Nim under Lac Duong district based on 23,993 hectares of natural area and 2,194 population of Da Chai commune.

Commune Da Nim has 23,993 hectares of natural area and 2,194 population.

Administrative boundary of commune Da Nim: East borders commune Da Chai; West borders communes Lat, Dung Knor; South borders commune Da Sar; North borders Dak Lak province.

After establishing commune Da Nim, commune Da Chai remains with 34,117 hectares of natural area and 1,560 population.

2. Establishing commune Da Rsal under Lam Ha district based on 7,770 hectares of natural area and 4,935 population of Lieang Sronh commune and 706 hectares of natural area of Ro Men commune.

Commune Da Rsal has 8,476 hectares of natural area and 4,935 population.

Administrative boundary of commune Da Rsal: East borders commune Da M'Rong; West borders Dak Nong province; South borders communes Lieang Sronh, Ro Men; North borders Dak Lak province.

After establishing commune Da Rsal:

- Commune Lieang Sronh remains with 23,890 hectares of natural area and 3,078 population.

- Commune Ro Men remains with 12,564 hectares of natural area and 3,294 population.

3. Establishing Dam Rong district based on 28,310 hectares of natural area and 12,437 population (including all communes Da M'Rong, Da Tong, Da Long) of Lac Duong district; 60,910 hectares of natural area and 18,196 population (including all communes Lieang Sronh, Da Rsal, Phi Lieng, Da K'Nang, Ro Men) of Lam Ha district.

Dam Rong district has 89,220 hectares of natural area and 30,633 population, including 8 administrative units comprising communes Da M'Rong, Da Tong, Da Long, Lieang Sronh, Da Rsal, Phi Lieng, Da K'Nang, Ro Men.

Administrative boundary of Dam Rong district: East borders Lac Duong district; West borders Dak Nong province; South borders Lam Ha district; North borders Dak Lak province.

After adjusting administrative boundaries to establish Dam Rong district:

- Lac Duong district remains with 123,070 hectares of natural area and 16,081 population, including 6 administrative units comprising communes Lat, Da Sar, Da Chai, Da Nim, Dung Knor and Lac Duong town.

- Lam Ha district remains with 97,852.49 hectares of natural area and 133,679 population, including 16 administrative units comprising communes Tan Van, Da Don, Phu Son, Phi To, Tan Ha, Lien Ha, Phuc Tho, Hoai Duc, Dan Phuong, Tan Thanh, Nam Ha, Gia Lam, Dong Thanh, Me Linh and towns Din Van, Nam Ban.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, the Minister of Interior Affairs and the Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree. /./
