Regarding the issuance of the Hospital Regulations

THE MINISTER OF HEALTH
Pursuant to the Law on Health Care for the People;
Pursuant to Decree No. 68/CP dated October 11, 1993 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;
At the request of the Director of the Personnel Department, the Director of the Treatment Department, and the Director of the Drug Administration of Vietnam under the Ministry of Health,
DECISION:
- Part I: Regulations on hospital organization
- Part II: Regulations on duties, authorities, and individual responsibilities.
- Part III: Regulations on hospital management.
- Part IV: Regulations on specialization.
- Part V: Regulations on work in certain departments
Article 2. The Hospital Regulations shall be applied in medical examination and treatment facilities (referred to collectively as hospitals), including private hospitals and foreign-invested hospitals. Specifically, the regulations on hospital organization may be adapted by private hospitals and foreign-invested hospitals to suit the actual conditions of their respective hospitals.
Article 3. The Treatment Department Director is assigned responsibility for guiding, inspecting, and supervising the implementation of the Hospital Regulations at hospitals nationwide.
Article 4. This Decision takes effect from January 1, 1998, and replaces Circular No. 1876/BYT/CB dated June 12, 1972, regarding the study, learning, and compliance with organizational and responsibility regulations and Decision No. 266/QD dated April 1, 1988, concerning the issuance of professional working regulations for hospitals.
Article 5. The Heads of the Office, the Directors of the Treatment Department, the Inspector General, the Directors of all Departments of the Ministry of Health's agency, the Director of the Drug Administration of Vietnam, the Directors of Provincial Health Departments, the Directors of Institutes and Hospitals directly under the Ministry, health sector hospitals, medical examination and treatment facilities, rehabilitation centers; the Deans of Medical and Pharmaceutical Universities, and Training Centers throughout the country are responsible for implementing this Decision.
