On the basis of Decree No. 55/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 28, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry;

On the basis of Decree No. 179/2004/NĐ-CP dated October 21, 2004 of the Government promulgating regulations on state management of product and commodity quality;

Pursuant to the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department.

Article 1. Issued together with this Decision are the Electrical Equipment Standards comprising the following parts:

Part I: General Provisions. Code: 11 TCN-18-2006.

Part II: Electrical Conduits System. Code: 11 TCN-19-2006.

Part III: Distribution Equipment and Transformer Stations. Code: 11 TCN-20-2006.

Part IV: Protection and Automation. Code: 11 TCN-21-2006.

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and shall replace Decision No. 507/ĐL-KT dated December 22, 1984 of the Ministry of Electricity (now the Ministry of Industry). These standards shall be applied throughout the electricity sector, uniformly across the country in design and installation of electrical works.

Article 3. Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, provincial People's Committees, centrally governed city People's Committees, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
