 THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

Pursuant to Decree No. 49/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

Pursuant to Ordinance No. 12/2003/PL-UBTVQH11 on Food Safety and Hygiene dated July 26, 2003 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Decree No. 163/2004/NĐ-CP dated September 7, 2004 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Ordinance on Food Safety and Hygiene;

Pursuant to Ordinance No. 18/1999/PL-UBTVQH10 on Product Quality dated December 24, 1999 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Decree No. 179/2004/NĐ-CP dated October 21, 2004 of the Government on State Management of Product and Goods Quality;

Pursuant to Circular No. 02/2006/TT-BKHCN dated January 10, 2006 of the Minister of Science and Technology guiding conditions and procedures for designating organizations to conduct product and goods quality inspections;

Based on the conclusion of the Technical Review Board of the Da Nang Preventive Health Center participating in State inspection on the quality and food safety of imported products on December 14, 2006;

At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Food Safety - Ministry of Health,

DECISION:

Article 1. The Da Nang Preventive Health Center under the Da Nang Department of Health is designated to organize and implement inspections on the quality and food safety of imported foods at the Da Nang city border gate.

Article 2. The Director of the Department of Food Safety - Ministry of Health shall be responsible for organizing, guiding, and supervising the implementation of this Decision.

Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and shall have a duration of three years.

Article 4. The following officials: Heads of the Office, Inspectorate, Legal Affairs Department, and related Departments and Bureaus under the Ministry of Health, Directors of Provincial Health Departments, Heads of Health Services of Ministries and Branches, and Director of the Da Nang Preventive Health Center are responsible for implementing this Decision. /./
