This economic zone will enjoy policies similar to those of border economic zones according to Decision No. 53/2001/QĐ-TTg.

Regarding the application of policies for the border economic zone of Dong Thap province

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap Province at the report No. 426/TT-UB dated September 6, 2001; the proposal of the Minister of Planning and Investment at the report No. 7925/BKH/QLKT dated November 21, 2001, and the opinions of relevant central ministries and sectors,
DECISION:
Article 1. The border economic zone of Dong Thap province includes the communes: Thuong Phuoc 1, Thuong Phuoc 2, Thuong Thoi Hau A, Thuong Thoi Hau B, Thuong Lac, Thuong Thoi Tien under Hong Nu district.
Article 2. The border economic zone of Dong Thap province shall apply Decision No. 53/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 19, 2001 of the Prime Minister on policies for border economic zones.
Article 3. During the implementation process, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province shall be responsible for:
- Closely coordinating with the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security to effectively implement projects related to security and defense. - Prioritizing the order of investment in construction projects and sub-projects so that when completed, they can be put into effective use. - Preparing annual reports for submission.
This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature.
The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province are responsible for implementing this Decision.
