DECISION

Regarding the Dissolution of the National Steering Committee for the Information Technology Program

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

Pursuant to the Government's Resolution No. 49/CP dated August 4, 1993 on the development of information technology in the country during the 1990s;

Pursuant to Decision No. 123/1999/QĐ-TTg dated May 11, 1999 of the Prime Minister on the establishment of the Steering Board for the Technical-Economic Program on Information Technology;Upon the proposal of the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment and the Minister, Head of the Civil Service and Organization Department of the Government,

 DECISION:

Article 1. The National Steering Committee for the Information Technology Program established pursuant to Decisions No. 212/TTg dated May 6, 1994 and No. 154/TTg dated March 11, 1995 of the Prime Minister shall be dissolved.

Article 2.

The National Steering Committee for Information Technology shall transfer to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment the State management tasks related to Information Technology and other specific tasks, files, documents, budget, and the number of staff directly working at the Office of the National Steering Committee for Information Technology.

The National Steering Committee for Information Technology shall transfer to the Government Office:

- Management of the ITnet network (including: tasks... files, documents, assets, equipment, and the number of staff directly managing the network).

- The entire area currently being used at No. 14 Le Hong Phong Street, Hanoi.

Article 3. The Minister of Finance shall be responsible for guiding the National Steering Committee for Information Technology to implement financial settlement upon dissolution in accordance with current regulations.

Article 4. This Decision takes effect from the date of signing. Decisions No. 212/TTg dated May 6, 1994 and No. 154/TTg dated March 11, 1995 of the Prime Minister and any previous provisions contrary to this Decision are hereby abolished.

Article 5. The Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, the Chairman of the Government Office, the Head of the National Steering Committee for Information Technology, the Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, and government-affiliated agencies relevant to this matter shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
