Pursuant to Article 72 of the Law on Road Traffic dated June 29, 2001;
Pursuant to the Public Security Law dated November 29, 2005;
Pursuant to Decree No. 136/2003/NĐ-CP dated November 14, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, authorities, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Public Security;
At the proposal of the Director of the General Traffic Police Department.

Article 1. The Provision on "Tasks, Authorities, and Activities Related to Patrol and Control by Road Traffic Police" is hereby promulgated together with this Decision.
Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and shall supersede any previous provisions that are inconsistent with this Decision.
Article 3. Directors of Departments under the General Departments, Heads of Units directly under the Minister, and Directors of Public Security Departments of provinces and centrally-administered cities are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
