DECREE

NUMBER: 193 DATE: May 28, 1948

OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

 

CHAIRMAN OF THE VIETNAMESE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to Decree No. 23/SL dated February 6, 1947 establishing the Council for Industrial Production under the Ministry of Economy;

WHEREAS the Minister of Economy has proposed;

After the Government Council and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly reached an agreement,

ISSUES THE DECREE:

Article 1

Now, within the Ministry of Economy, an agency named the Council for Industrial Production shall be established with the following tasks:

1- Studying the program of industrial production plans, and providing opinions to the Ministry of Economy regarding the industrial production aspect,

2- Assisting the Ministry of Economy in implementing production programs.

Article 2

If deemed necessary, a decree of the Minister of Economy may establish a branch of the Council for Industrial Production in each inter-zone or zone with equivalent responsibilities to the Council for Industrial Production within the scope of the inter-zone.

Article 3

Members of the Council consist of two categories:

1- Representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Agriculture, Interior, Transportation, Labor, and Defense (appointed by the respective ministry heads after reaching an agreement with the Minister of Economy);

2- Experts, engineers, representatives of economic associations, and other representatives (appointed by a decree of the Minister of Economy).

Article 4

The Council for Industrial Production has a General Secretary responsible for leading the work of the Council, appointed by a decree of the Minister of Economy.

Article 5

The budget of the Council will be covered by the Ministry of Economy's budget.

Article 6

This Decree revokes Decree No. 23/SL dated February 6, 1947.

, Clause 1, Clause 2 Article 7a of this Regulation.

The Minister of Economy shall implement this Decree.
