DECREE
Regarding the establishment of wards under the town of Cao Lãnh, Sa Đéc and the expansion of the town of Hong Ngoc, Hong Ngoc district, Dong Thap province
Upon consideration of the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province,
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish wards under the towns of Cao Lãnh, Sa Đéc and expand the town of Hong Ngoc, Hong Ngoc district, Dong Thap province as follows:
DECREE:
Article 1. 1. Establish Ward Hoa Thuan under the town of Cao Lãnh based on 229.20 hectares of natural area and 5,309 population of Hoa An commune.
Ward Hoa Thuan has 229.20 hectares of natural area and 5,309 population.
Administrative boundary of Ward Hoa Thuan: East borders Ward 1; West borders Hoa An commune; South borders Ward IV; North borders My Tam commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Ward Hoa Thuan, Hoa An commune remains with 1,207.55 hectares of natural area and 9,308 population.
2. Establish Ward My Phu under the town of Cao Lãnh based on 263.70 hectares of natural area and 7,490 population of My Tra commune.
Ward My Phu has 263.70 hectares of natural area and 7,490 population.
Administrative boundary of Ward My Phu: East borders Cao Lãnh district; West borders Wards I, II; South borders Ward III; North borders My Tra commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Ward My Phu, My Tra commune remains with 631.94 hectares of natural area and 5,081 population.
3. Establish Ward Tan Quy Dong under the town of Sa Dec based on the entire natural area and population of Tan Quy Dong commune.

Administrative boundary of Ward Tan Quy Dong: East borders Cao Lãnh district; West borders Lai Vuong district; South borders Wards I, III, An Hoa and Tan Quy Tay commune; North borders Tan Khanh Dong commune.
4. Establish Ward An Hoa under the town of Sa Dec based on 641.10 hectares of natural area and 7,490 population of Tan Quy Tay commune.
Ward An Hoa has 641.10 hectares of natural area and 7,490 population.
Administrative boundary of Ward An Hoa: East borders Ward I; West borders Tan Quy Tay commune; South borders Wards II, Tan Phu Dong commune and Lai Vuong district; North borders Tan Quy Dong ward.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Ward An Hoa, Tan Quy Tay commune remains with 468.19 hectares of natural area and 4,200 population.
5. Adjust 400.54 hectares of natural area and 7,811 population of An Binh A commune under Hong Ngoc district to be managed by the town of Hong Ngoc.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to expand the town:
The town of Hong Ngoc has 878.74 hectares of natural area and 31,110 population.
An Binh A commune remains with 2,734.08 hectares of natural area and 14,127 population.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies shall be responsible for implementing this Decree./.
