Regarding the establishment of the Steering Committee for Developing the Reform Program on Science and Technology Management Mechanism
To reform the management mechanism for science and technology activities;
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
The Steering Committee for Developing the Reform Program on Science and Technology Management Mechanism is hereby established with the following members:

Article 1. 1. Chairperson: Minister of Science, Technology and Environment;
2. Permanent Deputy: Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Environment;
- Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment,
3. Members:
- Deputy Minister of Finance,
- Deputy Director of the Government Office,
- Deputy Minister of Industry,
- Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development,
- Deputy Minister of Justice,
- Deputy Minister of Education and Training,
- Director of the National Natural Science and Technology Center,
- Director of the National Social Science and Humanities Center.
The Steering Committee for Developing the Reform Program on Science and Technology Management Mechanism shall have the following tasks:
Article 2. - Summarizing and evaluating comprehensively the work of managing science and technology in recent times, thereby drawing lessons for the management of science and technology;
- On the basis of combining domestic experience in managing science and technology with research and reference to international experience, developing the Reform Program on Science and Technology Management Mechanism and drafting related regulatory legal documents, to be submitted to the Prime Minister before June 1, 2000.
The Steering Committee shall establish a working group to assist the Committee in researching and editing. The working group consists of officials from the aforementioned agencies and other relevant agencies.
Article 3. Members of the Steering Committee for Developing the Reform Program on Science and Technology Management Mechanism, Ministers of the Ministries of Science, Technology and Environment, Planning and Investment, Finance, Industry, Agriculture and Rural Development, Justice, Education and Training, Director of the Government Office, Directors of the National Natural Science and Technology Center and the National Social Science and Humanities Center, and Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decision.
Article 4. This Decision shall take effect from the date of signing.
The Steering Committee for Developing the Reform Program on Science and Technology Management Mechanism will cease operations and be dissolved after the Program is approved by the Prime Minister./..
