Decree No. 20/2007/NĐ-CP On Adjusting Administrative Boundaries of Communes, Towns, Districts; Establishing New Wards under Ha Tinh City; and Establishing Loc Ha District, Ha Tinh Province

DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes, wards, districts; establishment of wards under Ha Tinh town; establishment of Loc Ha district, Ha Tinh province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province.

DECREE:

Article 1. The adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes, wards; establishment of wards under Ha Tinh town; establishment of Loc Ha district, Ha Tinh province shall be carried out as follows:

1 . Adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes, wards; establishment of wards under Ha Tinh town:

a) Establishing Nguyen Du ward based on adjusting 18.86 hectares of natural area and 2,721 population from Bac Ha ward; 39.72 hectares of natural area and 341 population from Thach Quy commune; 39.16 hectares of natural area and 600 population from Thach Linh commune; 83.11 hectares of natural area and 579 population from Thach Trung commune; 39.48 hectares of natural area and 374 population from Tran Phu ward.

Nguyen Du ward has 220.33 hectares of natural area and 4,615 population.

Administrative boundary of Nguyen Du ward: East borders Thach Quy ward; West borders Thach Linh ward and Tran Phu ward; South borders Bac Ha ward; North borders Thach Trung commune.

b) Establishing Van Yen ward based on adjusting the entire 223.46 hectares of natural area and 3,536 population from Thach Yen commune; 24.04 hectares of natural area and 59 population from Thach Quy commune; 5.92 hectares of natural area and 248 population from Tan Giang ward.

Van Yen ward has 253.42 hectares of natural area and 3,843 population.

Administrative boundary of Van Yen ward: East borders Tuong Son commune, Thach Ha district; West borders Nam Ha ward; South borders Dai Nai ward; North borders Tan Giang ward and Thach Quy commune.

c) Establishing Thach Quy ward based on the remaining 358.03 hectares of natural area and 5,920 population of Thach Quy commune.

Thach Quy ward has 358.03 hectares of natural area and 5,920 population.

Administrative boundary of Thach Quy ward: East borders Thach Hung commune; West borders Nguyen Du ward; South borders Tan Giang ward; North borders Thach Mon commune.

d) Establishing Thach Linh ward based on the remaining 606.12 hectares of natural area and 5,960 population of Thach Linh commune.

Thach Linh ward has 606.12 hectares of natural area and 5,960 population.

Administrative boundary of Thach Linh ward: East borders Tran Phu ward and Nguyen Du ward; West borders Thach Tan commune, Thach Dai commune, Thach Ha district; South borders Ha Huy Tap ward; North borders Thach Ha market town, Thach Ha district.

After adjusting administrative boundaries: -

- Bac Ha ward remains with 96.46 hectares of natural area and 9,123 population;

- Tan Giang ward remains with 99.08 hectares of natural area and 6,245 population;

- Tran Phu ward remains with 107.32 hectares of natural area and 5,014 population;

- Thach Trung commune remains with 609.39 hectares of natural area and 8,355 population.

Ha Tinh town has 5,632.64 hectares of natural area and 112,710 population, with 16 subordinate administrative units, including wards: Bac Ha, Nam Ha, Tran Phu, Tan Giang, Dai Nai, Ha Huy Tap, Nguyen Du, Thach Linh, Thach Quy, Van Yen and communes: Thach Trung, Thach Hung, Thach Ha, Thach Dong, Thach Mon, Thach Binh.

2 . Establishing Loc Ha district under Ha Tinh province based on adjusting 7,579.8 hectares of natural area and 43,204 population of Can Loc district (including the entire natural area and population of communes: Yich Hau, Hong Loc, Phu Luu, Binh Loc, Tan Loc, An Loc, Thinh Loc); 4,251.05 hectares of natural area and 43,009 population of Thach Ha district (including the entire natural area and population of communes: Thach Kim, Thach Bang, Thach Chau, Mai Phu, Ho Do, Thach My).

Loc Ha district has 11,830.85 hectares of natural area and 86,213 population, with 13 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Yich Hau, Phu Luu, Hong Loc, Binh Loc, Tan Loc, An Loc, Thinh Loc, Thach Kim, Thach Bang, Thach Chau, Thach My, Mai Phu, Ho Do.

Administrative boundary of Loc Ha district: East borders the East Sea; West borders Can Loc district; South borders Thach Ha district and Ha Tinh town; North borders Nghi Xuan district.

After adjusting administrative boundaries:

- Can Loc district remains with 30,084.58 hectares of natural area and 137,647 population, with 23 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Thuong Nga, Song Loc, Phu Loc, Gia Hanh, Thuong Loc, Dong Loc, Yen Loc, Kim Loc, Truong Loc, Thanh Loc, Trung Loc, Vinh Loc, Khanh Loc, My Loc, Son Loc, Quang Loc, Xuan Loc, Tien Loc, Vuong Loc, Thien Loc, Thu Thien, Tung Loc and Nghen market town.

Administrative boundary of Can Loc district: East borders Loc Ha district and Thach Ha district; West borders Duc Tho district; South borders Huong Ke and Thach Ha districts; North borders Hong Linh town and Nghi Xuan district.

- Thach Ha district remains with 35,643.49 hectares of natural area and 139,111 population, with 31 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Thach Kenh, Thach Lien, Phu Viet, Thach Long, Thach Son, Thach Thanh, Thach Tien, Viet Xuyen, Thach Ngoc, Ngoc Son, Thach Dai, Thach Luu, Thach Vinh, Bac Son, Thach Xuan, Nam Huong, Thach Tan, Thach Lam, Thach Huong, Thach Duyen, Tuong Son, Thach Thang, Thach Van, Thach Hoi, Thach Tri, Thach Lac, Thach Khe, Thach Dien, Thach Hai, Thach Ban and Thach Ha market town.

Administrative boundary of Thach Ha district: East borders the East Sea; West borders Can Loc district and Huong Ke district; South borders Cam Xuyen district; North borders Can Loc district and Loc Ha district.

Ha Tinh province has 12 subordinate administrative units, including districts: Ky Anh, Cam Xuyen, Thach Ha, Can Loc, Loc Ha, Nghi Xuan, Duc Tho, Huong Son, Vu Quang, Huong Ke and towns: Ha Tinh, Hong Linh.

Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.

Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
