Regarding the issuance of "Health Standards for Seafarers Working on Vietnamese Ships"

THE MINISTER OF HEALTH
Pursuant to Decree No. 188/2007/NĐ-CP dated December 27, 2007 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;
Pursuant to the Maritime Code No. 40/2005/QH11 dated June 14, 2005 of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;
Pursuant to Circular No. 2345/BGTVT-TCCB dated April 11, 2008 Issued by the Ministry of Transport providing comments on the draft "Health Standards for Seafarers Working on Vietnamese Ships";
At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment, the Head of the Legal Affairs Department.
DECISION:
Article 1. Issued herewith with this Decision is the "Health Standards for Seafarers Working on Vietnamese Ships".
Article 2. The "Health Standards for Seafarers Working on Vietnamese Ships" shall be applied in healthcare facilities participating in the examination and certification of seafarers' health.
Article 3. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. The provision at Clause 3.4, Section 3, Part I of the "Health Standards for Operators of Motorized Transportation Vehicles" issued together with Decision No. 4132/QĐ-BYT dated October 4, 2001 of the Minister of Health is hereby repealed.
Article 4. The Heads of the Office of the Ministry, the Inspectorate of the Ministry, the Heads of Departments, Directors of Departments, Directors of General Departments, Directors of Hospitals and Institutes under the Ministry of Health, Directors of Provincial Health Services under central cities; Heads of Health Services of sectors, Heads of related healthcare facilities are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
