DECISION

 ISSUING INDUSTRY STANDARDS

MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION

Pursuant to the Road Traffic Law No. 26/2001/QH10 dated June 29, 2001;
Pursuant to the Goods Quality Ordinance No. 18/1999/PL-UBTVQH10 dated December 24, 1999;
Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 34/2003/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2003 on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transportation;
Upon the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department and the Director General of the Vietnam Vehicle Inspection Agency,

DECIDES:

Article 1. To issue with this Decision the industry standard:

"Automobiles - Road Motor Vehicles - Safety Requirements"

Registration number: 22 TCN 307 - 03.

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 3. Types of automobiles that have been issued certificates before this Decision takes effect are permitted to continue production and assembly for a period of twelve months.

Article 4. The Director of the Ministry's Office, Directors of the Science and Technology Department, Transport Department, Legal Affairs Department, Vietnam Vehicle Inspection Agency, Vietnam Highway Administration, Directors of Provincial Departments of Transportation/Transport Infrastructure, and Heads of relevant units are responsible for implementing this Decision.
