Issuing the Provision on Forest Fire Forecasting and Warning in the Western Highlands Ecological Region
THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to Decree No. 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Pursuant to the Law on Forest Protection and Development dated August 19, 1991; Pursuant to Decree No. 22/CP dated March 9, 1995 of the Prime Minister promulgating the Provision on Forest Fire Prevention and Control;
Pursuant to Decision No. 1856 NN/KL/QD dated November 1, 1996 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on the construction of forest fire forecasting levels;
Pursuant to the minutes of January 23, 1997 of the Science and Technology Council of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development evaluating the results of the project on forest fire forecasting and warning levels in the Western Highlands Ecological Region;
At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Product Quality and the Director of the Forest Protection Department.

Article 1:Now hereby promulgates with this decision the Provision on Forest Fire Forecasting and Warning Levels in the Western Highlands Ecological Region.
Article 2:The Heads of the Ministry's Office, Directors of the Department of Science, Technology and Product Quality, Directors of the Forest Protection Department, Heads of relevant units under the Ministry, Directors of Provincial Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Forest Protection Sub-departments of four provinces: Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Giai La, Kon Tum, and forest protection agencies at all levels, forest farms, national parks, and nature reserves in the four Western Highland provinces are responsible for implementing this decision.
Article 3: This Decision takes effect from the date of signing.
