DECISION

Regarding the recognition of Hue City as a Class I city

under the province of Thua Thien - Hue

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to Decree No. 72/2001/NĐ-CP dated October 5, 2001 of the Government on the classification of cities and urban management levels;

Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue Province, the Minister of Construction, and the Minister of Home Affairs,

DECISION:

Article 1. Hue City is recognized as a Class I city under the province of Thua Thien - Hue.

Article 2. The Ministry of Home Affairs shall take the lead, coordinate with relevant ministries and sectors to study and propose policies for Class I cities under provinces, to be submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision.

Article 3. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

The Minister of Construction, the Minister of Home Affairs, the Ministers, and the Heads of related agencies, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
