DECREE

Regarding the establishment of Co Do Town and Dong Binh Commune, Dong Hiep Commune under Om Mon District, Can Tho City 

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City and the Minister, Head of the Civil Service and Cadre Affairs Board of the Government,

DECREE:

Article 1. Now, Co Do Town and Dong Binh Commune, Dong Hiep Commune under Om Mon District, Can Tho City are established as follows:

1. Establishing Co Do Town based on adjusting 438 hectares of natural area and 7,914 population from Thoi Dong Commune; 320 hectares of natural area and 1,894 population from Thanh Phu Commune (both under Thot Not District).

Co Do Town has 758 hectares of natural area and 9,808 population.

Administrative boundary of Co Do Town: East borders Dong Hiep Commune; West borders Thoi Dong Commune and Thanh Phu Commune (Thot Not District); South borders Thoi Dong Commune; North borders Thanh Phu Commune (Thot Not District).

After adjusting the administrative boundaries:

Thanh Phu Commune (Thot Not District) has 9,480 hectares of natural area and 12,892 population.

Thoi Dong Commune has 3,500 hectares of natural area and 11,912 population.

2. Establishing Dong Binh Commune based on adjusting 2,770.56 hectares of natural area and 6,720 population from Dong Thuan Commune.

Administrative boundary of Dong Binh Commune: East borders Dong Thuan Commune; West borders Giom Rieng District (Kien Giang Province); South borders Truong Xuan Commune; North borders Thoi Dong Commune;

After adjusting administrative boundaries, Dong Thuan Commune has 3,201.17 hectares of natural area and 7,134 population.

3. Establishing Dong Hiep Commune based on adjusting 1,754 hectares of natural area and 5,222 population from Thoi Dong Commune; 680 hectares of natural area and 1,337 population from Thoi Long Commune; 914.9 hectares of natural area and 3,054 population from Thoi Lai Commune.

Dong Hiep Commune has 3,348.9 hectares of natural area and 9,613 population.

Administrative boundary of Dong Hiep Commune: East borders Thoi Long Commune; West borders Thoi Dong Commune; South borders Dong Thuan Commune; North borders Thanh Phu Commune (Thot Not District).

After the adjustment of administrative boundaries:

Thoi Lai Commune has 5,159.1 hectares of natural area and 27,517 population.

Thoi Long Commune has 9,362 hectares of natural area and 41,031 population.

Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Department of the Government, and the Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service and Cadre Affairs Board of the Government, and Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
