REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CAMAU CITY IN CAMAU PROVINCE

Pursuant to the Law on the Organization of the Government dated September 30, 1992;
BASED ON THE DECISION 132/HĐBT OF MAY 5, 1990, OF THE STATE COUNCIL (NOW THE GOVERNMENT), ON THE CLASSIFICATION AND MANAGEMENT LEVELS OF URBAN AREAS;
CONSIDERING THE PROPOSAL OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF CAMAU PROVINCE AND THE MINISTER, HEAD OF THE ORGANIZATION-CIVIL SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT,
DECISION:
Article 1. CAMAU CITY IS ESTABLISHED IN CAMAU PROVINCE ON THE BASIS OF THE ENTIRE AREA AND POPULATION OF CAMAU TOWN.
CAMAU CITY HAS AN AREA OF 24,580.33 HA AND A POPULATION OF 176,848, INCLUDING 15 BASIC ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS, WHICH ARE WARD 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 AND COMMUNES AN XUYEN, TAN THANH, TAC VAN, DINH BINH, HOA THANH, LY VAN LAM, AND HOA TAN.
THE ADMINISTRATIVE BOUNDARIES OF CAMAU CITY: EAST ADJACENT TO GIA RAI DISTRICT; WEST ADJACENT TO TRAN VAN THOI DISTRICT; SOUTH ADJACENT TO DAM DOI DISTRICT; NORTH ADJACENT TO THOI BINH DISTRICT.
Article 2. THIS DECREE SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS AFTER ITS DATE OF ISSUANCE. ALL PRIOR PROVISIONS CONTRARY TO THIS DECREE SHALL BE ABROGATED.
Article 3. THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF CAMAU PROVINCE, THE MINISTER, HEAD OF THE ORGANIZATION-CIVIL SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT, AND THE HEADS OF RELATED AGENCIES SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS DECREE./
