DECREE
Regarding the establishment of Cam Ranh City,
in Khanh Hoa Province and the establishment of wards under the city,
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Upon the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province and the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Organization Board of the Government,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, Cam Ranh City under Khanh Hoa Province and the establishment of wards under the city are as follows:
a) Establishing Cam Ranh City based on the area and population of Cam Ranh District.
Cam Ranh City has 68,435 hectares of natural area and 191,066 inhabitants, including 9 wards and 18 communes.
The administrative boundary of Cam Ranh City: East borders the East Sea; West borders Khanh Son District; South borders Ninh Thuan Province; North borders Nha Trang City and Dien Khanh District.
b) Establishing 9 wards under Cam Ranh City as follows:
1. Establishing Ba Ngoi Ward based on 743.3 hectares of natural area and 10,383 inhabitants of Ba Ngoi Town.
The administrative boundary of Ba Ngoi Ward: East borders Cam Ranh Bay; West borders Cam Phuoc Dong Commune; South borders Cam Thinh Dong Commune; North borders Cam Loc Ward and Cam Loi Ward.
2. Establishing Cam Loc Ward based on 402.9 hectares of natural area and 7,500 inhabitants of Ba Ngoi Town.
The administrative boundary of Cam Loc Ward: East borders Cam Loi Ward and Cam Thuan Ward; West borders Cam Phuoc Dong Commune; South borders Ba Ngoi Ward; North borders Cam Phu Ward.
3. Establishing Cam Loi Ward based on 101.3 hectares of natural area and 9,357 inhabitants of Ba Ngoi Town.
The administrative boundary of Cam Loi Ward: East borders Cam Linh Ward; West borders Ba Ngoi Ward; South borders Ba Ngoi Ward and Cam Ranh Bay; North borders Cam Loc Ward and Cam Thuan Ward.
4. Establishing Cam Linh Ward based on 111.3 hectares of natural area and 11,078 inhabitants of Ba Ngoi Town.
The administrative boundary of Cam Linh Ward: East borders Cam Ranh Bay; West borders Cam Loi Ward; South borders Cam Ranh Bay; North borders Cam Thuan Ward.
5. Establishing Cam Thuan Ward based on 135 hectares of natural area and 8,237 inhabitants of Ba Ngoi Town.
The administrative boundary of Cam Thuan Ward: East borders Cam Ranh Bay; West borders Cam Loc Ward; South borders Cam Loi Ward and Cam Linh Ward; North borders Cam Phu Ward.
6. Establishing Cam Phu Ward based on 591.2 hectares of natural area and 6,448 inhabitants of Ba Ngoi Town.
The administrative boundary of Cam Phu Ward: East borders Cam Ranh Bay; West borders Cam Loc Ward; South borders Cam Thuan Ward; North borders Cam Phuc Nam Ward and Cam Phuc Bac Ward.
7. Establishing Cam Phuc Nam Ward based on 850 hectares of natural area and 6,227 inhabitants of Cam Phuc Nam Commune.
The administrative boundary of Cam Phuc Nam Ward: East borders Cam Ranh Bay; West borders Cam Phu Ward and Cam Phuc Bac Ward; South borders Cam Phu Ward; North borders Cam Phuc Bac Ward.
8. Establishing Cam Phuc Bac Ward based on 1,355 hectares of natural area and 11,851 inhabitants of Cam Phuc Bac Commune.
The administrative boundary of Cam Phuc Bac Ward: East borders Cam Ranh Bay; West borders Cam Thanh Nam Commune; South borders Cam Phuc Nam Ward; North borders Cam Nghia Ward.
9. Establishing Cam Nghia Ward based on 1,575 hectares of natural area and 11,316 inhabitants of Cam Nghia Commune.
The administrative boundary of Cam Nghia Ward: East borders Cam Ranh Bay; West borders Cam Thanh Nam Commune; South borders Cam Phuc Nam Ward; North borders Cam Thanh Bac Commune.
The remaining rural communes are: Son Tan, Cam Thanh Nam, Cam Thanh Bac, Cam An Nam, Cam An Bac, Cam Hiep Nam, Cam Hiep Bac, Cam Duc, Cam Hai Tay, Cam Hai Dong, Cam Hoa, Cam Tan, Cam Binh, Cam Lap, Cam Thinh Dong, Cam Thinh Tay, Cam Phuoc Dong, Cam Phuoc Tay.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect from the date of signature. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Organization Board of the Government, and the Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
