Regarding the addition of certain plant protection products to

the list of plant protection products permitted for use on vegetables

THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Pursuant to the Plant Protection and Quarantine Ordinance promulgated on August 8, 2001;

Upon the proposal of the Director of the Plant Protection Department and the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.

DECISION:

Article 1: The following are added to this decision:

Certain plant protection products to the list of plant protection products permitted for use on vegetables (with attached list) including:

1. Insecticides: 8 active ingredients with 9 trade names

2. Fungicides: 7 active ingredients with 8 trade names

3. Herbicides: 1 active ingredient with 1 trade name

4. Plant growth regulators: 1 active ingredient with 1 trade name

5. Insect attractants: 1 active ingredient with 1 trade name

Article 2: The export and import of the plant protection products issued together with this decision shall be carried out in accordance with Circular 62/2001/TT-BNN dated June 5, 2001 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding the export and import of goods under the specialized management of agriculture pursuant to Decision 46/2001/QD-TTg dated April 4, 2001 of the Prime Minister on the management of export and import of goods during the period 2001-2005 and Decision No. 145/2002/QD-BNN dated December 18, 2002 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgating regulations on registration procedures; production, processing, bottling, packaging; export, import; trading; storage, transportation; use; destruction; labeling; packaging; advertising seminars for plant protection products.

Article 3: This Decision takes effect 15 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Previous decisions that conflict with this decision are hereby abolished.

Article 4: The Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Head of the Ministry's Office, Heads of units under the Ministry, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this decision./.
