DECISION
Regarding the issuance of the Regulation on Management and Conservation of Plant, Animal, and Microbial Genetic Resources
and microorganisms
MINISTER OF THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT
Pursuant to Decree No. 22/CP dated May 22, 1993 of the Government on tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment;
At the proposal of the Heads of the Department of Technology Management, the Department of Science Management, and the Planning Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. This Decision promulgates the "Regulation on Management and Conservation of Plant, Animal, and Microbial Genetic Resources" attached hereto.
12/2025/TT-BNNMT dated June 19, 2025 issued by the Minister of Agriculture and EnvironmentThis Decision replaces Decision No. 582/QĐ-NSY dated November 2, 1987 of the Head of the State Scientific and Technical Commission promulgating temporary regulations on the tasks and powers of agencies responsible for conserving, storing, and using plant, animal, and microbial genetic resources and related germplasm, and abolishes previous regulations on management and conservation of genetic resources that conflict with this Decision.
Article 3. The Heads of units under the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment directly involved, the Heads of agencies and units participating in the conservation and storage of genetic resources from various Ministries, sectors, and localities are responsible for implementing this Decision.
Article 4. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature.
