DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries, establishment of wards and communes under the city of Vung Tau and Chu Doc district, Binh Duong-Vung Tau province

RESOLUTION CHANCELLOR'S OFFICE

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong-Vung Tau province,

DECREE:

Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted, and wards and communes are established under the city of Vung Tau and Chu Doc district, Binh Duong-Vung Tau province as follows:

1. Adjusting 127.78 hectares of natural area and 712 population of Ward 1 under the city of Vung Tau to be managed by Ward 2.

2. Establishing Ward Thang Tam under the city of Vung Tau based on 251.50 hectares of natural area and 13,410 population of Ward 2.

Ward Thang Tam has 251.50 hectares of natural area and 13,410 population.

Administrative boundary of Ward Thang Tam: East borders the East Sea; West borders Ward 3; South borders Ward 2; North borders Ward 8.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries and establishing Ward Thang Tam:

- Ward 1 remains with 137.04 hectares of natural area and 12,243 population.

- Ward 2 remains with 293.43 hectares of natural area and 11,122 population.

3. Adjusting 2.02 hectares of natural area of Ward 8 under the city of Vung Tau to be managed by Ward 10.

4. Adjusting 38.15 hectares of natural area of Ward 10 under the city of Vung Tau to be managed by Ward 8.

5. Establishing Ward Nguyen An Ninh under the city of Vung Tau based on 411.13 hectares of natural area and 8,217 population of Ward 8.

Ward Nguyen An Ninh has 411.13 hectares of natural area and 8,217 population.

Administrative boundary of Ward Nguyen An Ninh: East borders the East Sea; West borders Wards 9 and Thang Nhat; South borders Ward 8; North borders Wards 10 and Thang Nhat.

6. Establishing Ward Rach Duong under the city of Vung Tau based on 325.77 hectares of natural area and 14,414 population of Ward 10.

Ward Rach Duong has 325.77 hectares of natural area and 14,414 population.

Administrative boundary of Ward Rach Duong: East borders Ward 11; West borders Ward Thang Nhat and the East Sea; South borders Ward 10; North borders Commune Long Son.

After adjusting administrative boundaries and establishing wards:

- Ward 8 remains with 227.95 hectares of natural area and 19,829 population.

- Ward 10 remains with 369.73 hectares of natural area and 5,904 population.

7. Establishing Commune Bau Chinh under Chu Doc district based on 1,134.46 hectares of natural area and 3,544 population of Market Town Ngai Giao, 849.32 hectares of natural area and 2,985 population of Commune Kim Long.

Commune Bau Chinh has 1,983.78 hectares of natural area and 6,529 population.

Administrative boundary of Commune Bau Chinh: East borders Communes Quang Thanh and Binh Gia; West borders Commune Lang Lon; South borders Market Town Ngai Giao and Commune Lang Lon; North borders Commune Kim Long.

After establishing Commune Bau Chinh:

- Market Town Ngai Giao remains with 1,395.73 hectares of natural area and 15,066 population.

- Commune Kim Long remains with 2,160.18 hectares of natural area and 12,246 population.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong-Vung Tau province, the Minister of Interior, and the heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
