Decree No. 214 Regarding the Appointment of Officials in the Ministry of National Defense

DECREE-LAW

OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

NUMBER 214 DATED NOVEMBER 20, 1946

THE CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 34 dated March 25, 1946 on the organization of the Ministry of National Defense;

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 60 dated May 6, 1946 on the organization of the Military Committee;

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 182 dated September 13, 1946 on the organization of the Vietnam Southern Resistance Committee;

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 184 dated September 24, 1946 on the organization of the Vietnam Reception Army;

At the request of the Minister of National Defense,

ISSUES THE FOLLOWING DECREE-ORDER:

Article 1. Mr. Hoang Van Thai, former Chief of Staff of the Military Committee, is appointed as Director of the Training Bureau and Commander of the Vietnam Reception Army.

Article 2. Mr. Phan Phac, former Director of the Training Bureau, is appointed as Deputy Director of the Training Bureau.

Article 3. Mr. Van Tien Dung is appointed as Political Deputy Director.

Article 4. Mr. Nguyen Son, former Chairman of the Vietnam Southern Resistance Committee, is appointed as Chief of Staff of the Ministry of National Defense.

Article 5. Brigadier General Le Thiet Hung, former Commander of the Vietnam Reception Army, is appointed as Chairman of the Vietnam Southern Resistance Committee.

Article 6. Abolish any provisions in previously issued decrees and resolutions that conflict with this Decree-Law.

Article 7. The Minister of National Defense shall be responsible for implementing this Decree-Law.
