DECISION
On the assignment of tasks to units under the Ministry
THE MINISTER OF FINANCE
Pursuant to Decree No. 178/CP dated October 28, 1994 of the Government on the functions, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Finance;
Pursuant to the conclusions of the Party Cadre Committee of the Ministry of Finance at its meeting held on February 22, 2001;
Considering the proposals of the Director of the Department of Personnel and Training and the Director of the Department of Foreign Financial Affairs,
DECIDES:
Article 1: The specialized departments under the Ministry shall carry out management tasks (from budget preparation, disbursement, settlement) within their jurisdiction for foreign travel expenses, annual contributions to international organizations, broadcasting fees, and information purchase costs (if any) of ministries and sectors managed by the department, up to a limit in Vietnamese dong.
The State Treasury Central shall provide foreign currency disbursements for these expenditures when there is a need according to corresponding items, while recording in Vietnamese dong at the exchange rate used for accounting purposes and gradually deducting from the annual budget limit of the ministry or sector.
Other foreign currency expenses as stipulated in Decision No. 596 TC/QĐ/TCĐN dated August 19, 1997 of the Minister of Finance shall continue to be handled by the Department of Foreign Financial Affairs.
Article 2: This Decision takes effect from July 1, 2001.
The Director of the Department of Foreign Financial Affairs, the Director of the Department of Personnel and Training, the Head of the Ministry's Office, and the Heads of units under and affiliated with the Ministry are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
