THE MINISTER OF HEALTH
Pursuant to Decree No. 49/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 12/2003/PL-UBTVQH11 on Food Safety and Hygiene dated July 26, 2003 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Decree No. 163/2004/NĐ-CP dated September 7, 2004 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Food Safety and Hygiene Ordinance;
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 18/1999/PL-UBTVQH10 on Product Quality dated December 24, 1999 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Decree No. 179/2004/NĐ-CP dated October 21, 2004 of the Government on State Management of Product and Goods Quality;
Pursuant to Circular No. 02/2006/TT-BKHCN dated January 10, 2006 of the Minister of Science and Technology guiding conditions and procedures for designating organizations to conduct product and goods quality inspections;
Based on the conclusion of the Appraisal Council regarding the participation of the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of Vinacotrol Company in state inspections on the quality and food safety of imported products dated December 26, 2006;
Considering the proposal of the Director of the Department of Food Safety - Ministry of Health,
DECISION:
Article 1. Designate the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of Vinacotrol Company to organize and implement state inspections on the quality and food safety of imported foods at Ho Chi Minh City ports.
Article 2. The Director of the Department of Food Safety - Ministry of Health shall be responsible for organizing, guiding, and supervising the implementation of this Decision.
Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and shall have a validity period of three years.
Article 4. The following officials are responsible for implementing this Decision: Heads of the Office, Inspector General, Head of the Legal Affairs Department, and other relevant Departments and Bureaus under the Ministry of Health, Directors of Provincial Health Services under central cities, Heads of Health Services in sectors, and the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of Vinacotrol Joint Stock Inspection Corporation. /./
