Decree No. 22/2008/NĐ-CP On Adjusting Administrative Boundaries of Communes to Establish New Communes in Loc Ninh, Phuoc Long, and Bu Dang Districts, Binh Phuoc Province

DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes to establish communes under the districts of Loc Ninh, Phuoc Long, and Bu Dang, Province of Binh Phuoc

Loc Ninh, Phuoc Long, and Bu Dang districts, Binh Phuoc province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc Province,

DECREE:

Article 1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of communes to establish communes under the districts of Loc Ninh, Phuoc Long, and Bu Dang, Binh Phuoc province as follows:

1. Establishing Loc Phu commune under Loc Ninh district based on adjusting 3,026 hectares of natural area and 7,035 population from Loc Cuong commune.

- Loc Phu commune has 3,026 hectares of natural area and 7,035 population.

Administrative boundary of Loc Phu commune: East borders with Binh Thang commune, Phuoc Long district; West borders with Loc Thuan commune; South borders with Loc Cuong commune; North borders with Loc Hiep commune.

2. Establishing Phuoc Minh commune under Phuoc Long district based on adjusting 6,532.71 hectares of natural area and 7,430 population from Da Kia commune.

- Phuoc Minh commune has 6,532.71 hectares of natural area and 7,430 population.

Administrative boundary of Phuoc Minh commune: East borders with Phu Nghia commune; West borders with Thanh Binh town, Thanh Hoa commune, Bu Dop district, and Binh Thang commune, Phuoc Long district; South borders with Da Kia commune; North borders with Thien Hung and Phuoc Thien communes, Bu Dop district.

3. Adjusting 6,208.34 hectares of natural area and 2,559 population of Minh Hung commune under Bu Dang district to be managed by Bom Bo commune.

Bom Bo commune has 24,402 hectares of natural area and 25,539 population.

4. Establishing Binh Minh commune under Bu Dang district based on adjusting 13,286.34 hectares of natural area and 11,201 population from Bom Bo commune.

- Binh Minh commune has 13,286.34 hectares of natural area and 11,201 population.

Administrative boundary of Binh Minh commune: East borders with Dak Nau commune, Tho Son commune, and Dong Ket commune; West borders with Phuoc Tin commune, Duc Hanh commune, and Thac Mo town, Phuoc Long district; South borders with Duc Leu commune and Minh Hung commune; North borders with Bom Bo commune.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries of communes to establish communes:

- Loc Cuong commune remains with 4,545 hectares of natural area and 5,714 population.

Loc Ninh district has 85,395.15 hectares of natural area and 115,268 population, including 16 direct administrative units, namely communes: Loc An, Loc Hoa, Loc Hiep, Loc Tan, Loc Thach, Loc Thien, Loc Thai, Loc Thuan, Loc Hung, Loc Diep, Loc Thanh, Loc Khanh, Loc Thinh, Loc Cuong, Loc Phu, and Loc Ninh town.

- Da Kia commune remains with 7,201.68 hectares of natural area and 8,905 population.

Phuoc Long district has 185,496.87 hectares of natural area and 185,248 population, including 21 direct administrative units, namely communes: Dak O, Bu Gia Map, Binh Thang, Duc Hanh, Phu Van, Phu Nghia, Da Kia, Phuoc Minh, Binh Tan, Binh Son, Long Binh, Son Giang, Phuoc Tin, Long Hung, Bu Nho, Long Ha, Phu Rieng, Phu Trung, Long Tan, Phuoc Binh town, and Thac Mo town.

- Minh Hung commune remains with 6,082.27 hectares of natural area and 8,676 population.

- Bom Bo commune remains with 11,116.59 hectares of natural area and 14,338 population.

Bu Dang district has 150,300.48 hectares of natural area and 123,891 population, including 15 direct administrative units, namely communes: Dak Nau, Minh Hung, Bom Bo, Binh Minh, Dong Nai, Tho Son, Phu Son, Dong Ket, Phuoc Son, Thong Nhat, Duc Leu, Nghia Trung, Nghia Binh, Dang Ha, and Duc Phong town.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc Province, and the Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
