ON THE APPLICATION OF TECHNICAL STANDARDS FOR COAL REQUIREMENTS

THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY

Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 74/CP dated November 1, 1995 on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry;
Pursuant to Decision No. 2264/1999/QĐ-BKHCNMT dated December 30, 1999 of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment on issuing technical standards and requirements for coal;
Pursuant to the report No. 2211/CV-ĐT dated August 15, 2000 of Vietnam Coal Corporation regarding the request for permission to apply Vietnamese Standards for commercial coal;
At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Technology Management and Product Quality. 

DECISION:

Article 1. Permit Vietnam Coal Corporation to implement the mandatory application of the following Vietnamese Standards:

+ TCVN 1790 : 1999 Technical Requirements for Hòn Gai - Cẩm Phả Coal,

+ TCVN 2273 : 1999 Maicao Coal - Technical Requirements,

+ TCVN 2279 : 1999 Vinh Thanh Coal - Nam Mau - Technical Requirements,

+ TCVN 4684 : 1999 Technical Requirements for Na Dương Coal,

+ TCVN 5333 : 1999 Technical Requirements for Núi Hồng Coal,

+ TCVN 6559 : 1999 Technical Requirements for Khánh Hòa Coal

issued together with Decision No. 2264/1999/QĐ-BKHCN&MT dated December 30, 1999 of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment.

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect from October 1, 2000.

For coal purchase and sale contracts signed before October 1, 2000, the old standards may be used until December 31, 2000.

Article 3. Assign Vietnam Coal Corporation to coordinate with relevant agencies to organize dissemination, self-declaration of compliance with the standards, and develop measures to implement these standards.

Article 4. The Head of the Ministry's Office, Directors of functional Departments, and General Director of Vietnam Coal Corporation are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
