AMENDING ARTICLE 7 OF THE REGULATIONS ON GRADUATION EXAMINATION FOR COMPLEMENTARY PRIMARY EDUCATION ISSUED PURSUANT TO DECISION NO. 45/2000/QĐ-BGDĐT DATED OCTOBER 18, 2000 OF THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING AS FOLLOWS: "THE GRADUATION EXAMINATION FOR COMPLEMENTARY PRIMARY EDUCATION SHALL INCLUDE TWO SUBJECTS: VIETNAMESE AND ARITHMETIC. THE TIME ALLOWED FOR EACH SUBJECT EXCLUDING THE TIME FOR COPYING THE QUESTIONS OR RECEIVING THE QUESTIONS IS 60 MINUTES. THE EXAMINATION SHALL BE HELD IN ONE SESSION (WITH A 45-MINUTE BREAK BETWEEN THE TWO SUBJECTS)." AND Director AND THE CONTENT OF THE EXAMINATION SHALL COVER THE COMPLEMENTARY PRIMARY EDUCATION CURRICULUM (ISSUED PURSUANT TO DECISION NO. 3606/GD-ĐT DATED AUGUST 29, 1996 OF THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING), WITH EMPHASIS ON LEVEL 2 OF LITERACY ELIMINATION (EQUIVALENT TO THE CURRICULUM OF GRADE 5 OF PRIMARY SCHOOL).
At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Continuing Education,
DECISION:
Article 1. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT FROM THE 2001-2002 SCHOOL YEAR. ANY PRIOR PROVISIONS CONTRARY TO THIS DECISION ARE ABROGATED.
CHAIRS OF PROVINCE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEES AND DIRECTLY-GOVERNED CITY PEOPLE'S COMMITTEES; DIRECTORS OF THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING'S DEPARTMENTS AND ORGANIZATIONS; DIRECTORS OF PROVINCE EDUCATION AND TRAINING BOARDS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS DECISION.
Article 2. This Decision shall take effect from the 2001-2002 academic year. All previous provisions contrary to this Decision are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chair of the People's Committee of provinces and centrally governed cities; the Director of the Office; heads of units and organizations under the Ministry of Education and Training; and Directors of Departments of Education and Training shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
