DECISION
Regarding the establishment of the Southern Branch of the Institute of Marine Fisheries Research Male
MINISTER OF AQUATIC RESOURCES
Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 2, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Fisheries;
Pursuant to Decision No. 436 TS/QÐ dated August 19, 1983 of the Minister of Fisheries stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Institute of Marine Fisheries Research;
Pursuant to Circular No. 2393/BNV-TCBC dated 20/9/2004 of the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the establishment of the Southern Branch of the Institute of Marine Fisheries Research; Male;
Considering the proposal of the Director of the Institute of Marine Fisheries Research at Report No. 282/VHS-TTr dated April 24, 2004 on the request to establish the Southern Branch of the Institute of Marine Fisheries Research and Circular No. 526 VHS/VP dated August 30, 2004 on the request to supplement the name, scope of operation, and organizational structure of the Southern Branch of the Institute of Marine Fisheries Research;
At the recommendation of the Heads of the Personnel Organization Department and the Science and Technology Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. The Southern Branch of the Institute of Marine Fisheries Research (hereinafter referred to as the Branch) is hereby established.
The Branch is a subordinate unit and representative of the Institute of Marine Fisheries Research; directly carrying out scientific research and marine fishing technology work in the southern sea region. The scope of operation of the Branch includes the sea, tidal areas, river mouths, and coastal zones from Da Nang to Kien Giang.
The Branch is a scientific public service unit with its own seal and is authorized to open accounts at commercial banks and state treasuries.
The international trade name of the Branch is South Research Sub-Institute for Marine Fisheries (SORESIMF).
The Branch's headquarters is located in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.
Article 2. The functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Branch are set forth in this Decision.
Article 3. Effectiveness
This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 4. Responsibility for Implementation
The Director of the Institute of Marine Fisheries Research is responsible for coordinating with relevant agencies and units to develop and promulgate the operational regulations of the Branch.
The Head of the Ministry’s Office, the Director of the Institute of Marine Fisheries Research, the Heads of Departments, Bureaus, the Inspectorate of the Ministry, the Heads of subordinate units of the Ministry, and the Director of the Southern Branch of the Institute of Marine Fisheries Research are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
