THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

Pursuant to Decree No. 49/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2003 of the Government, stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

Pursuant to Ordinance No. 12/2003/PL-UBTVQH11 on Food Safety and Hygiene dated July 26, 2003 and Decree No. 163/2004/NĐ-CP dated September 7, 2004 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Ordinance on Food Safety and Hygiene;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Legal Department and the Director of the Food Safety and Hygiene Inspection Department - Ministry of Health.

DECISION:

Article 1. Issued together with this Decision is the "Regulation on State Inspection of Food Safety and Quality for Imported Food".

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. The Decision No. 1370/1997/QĐ-BYT dated July 17, 1997 of the Minister of Health on the issuance of the "Regulation on State Inspection of Food Quality for Imported Food" is hereby repealed.

Article 3. The Heads of the Office, Inspectorate, Legal Department - Ministry of Health, Food Safety and Hygiene Inspection Department, Directors of Provincial Health Departments under the Central Government, Heads of relevant units under the Ministry, and Heads of Health Departments of various sectors are responsible for implementing this Decision.
