On terminating the issuance of Payment Drafts
GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM
Pursuant to the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam No. 01/1997/QH10 dated December 12, 1997;
Pursuant to Decree No. 64/2001/NĐ-CP dated September 20, 2001 of the Government on payment activities through organizations providing payment services.
Pursuant to Decree No. 15/CP dated March 2, 1993 of the Government on the tasks, powers, and responsibilities for state management of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Pursuant to the guidance of the Prime Minister in Circular No. 1091/CP-KTTH dated November 29, 2001 of the Government regarding the termination of the issuance of payment drafts;
At the proposal of the Head of the Monetary Policy Department.
DECISION:
Article 1. The State Bank of Vietnam shall not issue payment drafts from April 1, 2002.
Payment drafts issued before April 1, 2002 shall be used in accordance with the current regulations of the State Bank of Vietnam on Payment Drafts.
Article 2. This Decision takes effect from April 1, 2002.
Article 3. The Heads of the Office, the Heads of the Monetary Policy Department, the Issuance and Treasury Operations Department, the Accounting and Finance Department of the State Bank of Vietnam, the Governors of the State Bank of Vietnam branches in provinces and centrally-administered cities; Chairmen of the Management Boards and General Directors (Directors) of Credit Organizations, and the General Director of the National Treasury are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
