DECREE-LAW

OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

NUMBER 235 DATED JULY 25, 1947

THE CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 63 dated November 22, 1945 and No. 77 dated December 21, 1945;

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 1-S dated December 18, 1946;

After the Government Council and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly have reached an agreement,

ISSUES THE FOLLOWING DECREE- LAW:

Article 1

Zone XI now includes Hanoi City and the outer districts of Son Tay, Ha Dong provinces.

Article 2

Zone 2 now includes Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh provinces and parts of Hoa Binh province north of the Da River.

Article 3

Establishes additional Zone 14 including Lai Chau, Son La provinces, parts of Phu Tho province west of the Red River, and parts of Hoa Binh province north of the Da River.

Article 4

The division of Zones according to the above Articles is special and applies only during the period of resistance war.

Article 5

Ministers responsible for implementing this Decree-Law.
