DECREE-LAW

OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

NUMBER 236 AUGUST 5, 1947

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 47 dated May 1, 1947 organizing the General Command;

Pursuant to the decision of the Council of Ministers on the authority of the Commander-in-Chief of the National Self-Defense Militia of Vietnam,

After the Permanent Committee of the National Assembly has agreed,

ISSUES THE FOLLOWING DECREE-LAW:

Article 1

The Commander-in-Chief of the National Army shall be considered equivalent to a Minister in terms of authority and status.

Article 2

The Council of Ministers, established by the decision of the Council of Ministers dated July 5, 1947, consisting of the Ministers of Interior, Defense, Finance, Economy, Justice, shall now include the Commander-in-Chief of the National Army.

Article 3

The Ministers of Interior, Defense, Finance, Economy, Justice and the Commander-in-Chief of the National Army shall implement this Decree-Law.
