Regarding the approval of the results of the National Land Inventory in 2000

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

Pursuant to the Land Law dated July 14, 1993 and the Law Amending and Supplementing Certain Provisions of the Land Law dated December 11, 1999;

At the proposal of the Director General of the Land Administration on the results of the National Land Inventory in 2000 (Report No. 125/TT-TCĐC dated February 6, 2001),

Pursuant to …;:

Article 1. Approve the results of the National Land Inventory in 2000 carried out pursuant to Directive No. 24/1999/CT-TTg dated August 18, 1999 of the Prime Minister:

The total natural area of the country is: 32,924,061 hectares.

Includes:

- Agricultural land area: 9,345,346 hectares

- Forest land area with forests: 11,575,429 hectares

- Special-use land area: 1,532,843 hectares - Residential land area: 443,178 hectares

- Unused land area and rivers, streams, rocky mountains: 10,027,265 hectares.

(Detailed figures according to the current land use status statistics table for the whole country and each province attached to this Decision).

Article 2. The figures from the National Land Inventory in 2000 for the entire country and each administrative unit at all levels determined during the inventory will be uniformly used throughout the country during the period 2001-2005; annually, the Land Administration and People's Committees at all levels shall organize regular statistics to update changes in the process of use.

Article 3. The results of the National Land Inventory in 2000 shall be uniformly used as a basis for ministries, sectors, People's Committees at all levels to study and calculate planning indicators and formulate policies and guidelines for economic and social development in general; land resource planning and utilization plans in particular, and other related purposes.

The People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, the Land Administration, and relevant ministries and sectors shall be responsible for effectively utilizing the results of the inventory.

Article 4. This Decision takes effect 15 days after the date of signature. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision.
